Opportunites to Pray Together

Ecumenical Prayer Breakfast 1st Saturday of the month at the Vicarage, from 9am, prayer, coffee and croissant. Next is the 1st March – come, join us and pray for Chilworth, and God’s Kingdom here.
Thursday evening at St Thomas at 7:30 pm for an hour every other week. ** 6th & 20th February.

The Foodbank Larder box is now located in the porch of St Thomas' Church.  Many thanks for your donations.  Suggested items are: - Long life milk /tins tuna/ tins meat/ pasta/sachets microwaveable rice /pasta sauces/curry sauces/cereal/spreads/ tea/ coffee/ hot chocolate/ tins soup/ baked beans

Children’s service & Tea

23rd February at St Thomas from 3:30pm, short lively service. Followed by a tea which gives time to sit and chat whilst the children run around.

Parish Needs Process

The new phase of this has started, we had a meeting with our Diocesan Mission Enabler, Rev’d David Senior on Friday 3rd January at the Vicarage with the PCC. We discussed and planned the next steps. Please keep praying as we seek God’s will for the parish and how with our limited resources we can grow God’s Kingdom here.

Escape to the Country, BBC

The episode that includes some filming up at St Martha’s will air on Tuesday 25th Feb on BBC One at 3pm. It will also be available on BBC iplayer for 30 days after it has been shown on BBC One. Will be interesting to see what they actually filmed and say.

Used Stamps for Oxfam

 Please place used stamps in the box at the back of St Thomas' which will stay at the back of the church all year and be emptied as and when it gets full.

Flower Rota at St Thomas

There is now a new flower rota for 2025 on the notice board at St Thomas'. Carole will continue to do our special displays but in between there is a chance for others to take a turn in providing flowers. As most bought flowers last for 2 weeks, most people sign up for 2 weeks at a time. If you have not done it before, have a word with Carole for more information.

Roles within the Parish

As we approach the APCM, now would be a good time to think and pray about how you might get involved with helping within the parish. We always need people to commit to helping make this a great parish showing God’s love to all – talk to David and see how you may help.

ALPHA: - We are aiming to start an Alpha Course this year, please pray and think who you would like to invite and maybe get involved as well.
