Lent Course News

For our Lenten journey this year we will be venturing into the wilds of faith with the help of the team at Lectio 365. Join us as we embark on a life-changing, forty-day journey into the wilderness. Alongside the Bible, we will be diving into the ancient wisdom of the Desert Fathers and Mothers: a radically counter-cultural movement that chose to live, work and pray away from civilised society, in the foreboding desert landscape through the third and fourth centuries AD.

Monday Evening -Join us at 7.30pm at the Gomshall Club on Monday evening.
Services We will link each week’s theme into our sermons on the Sunday before.
Daily Devotion – download the prayer App: search for Lectio365 in the Apple or Google App stores.

Palm Sunday we will walk a donkey up to St Martha’s, have a short service and then picnics to follow. 12:30 in the car park of Halfpenny Lane.

Lent Lunch reflections has been cancelled due to Bishop Andrew’s funeral.

MMAC IN GUILDFORD

Please open the link for Lenten Events in Guildford Churches  MMAC

Bishop Andrew

The funeral will take place at Guildford Cathedral on Monday 23rd March at 12 noon. It is a ticketed event as the cathedral can only hold 1100 people. A lot of thought has been put into “enable everyone to be part of this act of worship and thanksgiving for the life of Bishop Andrew.” For those who will not be able to attend the Cathedral service, St Nicholas’ Cranleigh will be streaming the live service, enabling the people of Cranleigh Deanery to join together in worship and remembrance. There is limited parking near the church so parking in the Cranleigh Village car parks would be best. Refreshments will be served.

Please pray for Beverley and family as they navigate through this. Also for the senior leadership team as they work through leading the diocese through this.
