Opportunites to Pray Together

Ecumenical Prayer Breakfast 1st Saturday of the month at the Vicarage, from 9am, prayer, coffee and croissant. Next is the 3rd January – Thursday evening at St Thomas at 7:30 pm for an hour every other week. **15th January 2026.

Benefice News - David Oakden

David is enjoying his new role, since he was licenced by Archdeacon Catherine in December. Thank you all who came and supported David at the short service.

 
 

 Food and Hygiene Bank

The Foodbank Larder box is now located in the porch of St Thomas' Church.  Many thanks for your donations.  Suggested items are: - Long life milk /tins tuna/ tins meat/ pasta/sachets microwaveable rice /pasta sauces/curry sauces/cereal/spreads/ tea/ coffee/ hot chocolate/ tins soup/ baked beans.  The need is great and growing, the Foodbank is struggling to keep up with demand – both through gifts and funds. Please consider if you are able to assist, especially as the autumn is now upon us.

 
 

Chilworth Tinies and Toddler Group

Mondays from 9:15 -10:30am  meet in St Thomas', play chat, pray and support.  Next meeting 5th January 2026.

Christmas Foodbank

 

Giving out Christmas Food Parcels and Children gifts on Monday 22nd and Tuesday 23rd to 13 families inc 17 children, so if you want to donate Xmas treat items, please leave inside St Thomas' Church.

 

 
 

Thank You to the Smith Charity

 

Thank you so much to the Smith Charity in Shalford for the donation of £500 to Chilworth Foodbank which was greatly appreciated

 

 
 

Teabars at St Martha's

27th & 28th December  10am - 3pm

 

Saturday 27th December,  proceeds split between the Parish Churches and Starfish Asia, a charity which supports education for Children in Pakistan who would otherwise not have access to it.

Sunday 28th December, proceeds will go towards the Parish Churches and Foodbank.

 
 

Used Stamps for Oxfam

 Please place used stamps in the box at the back of St Thomas' which will stay there all year and be emptied as and when it gets full.
